The importance of exfoliation - a waiting to exhale moment for the skin and body

Just recently we experienced the March equinox; anyone who is into astrology knows that this signifies

the beginning of a new astrological year and the start of a new season, autumn.

As we are in the Southern Hemisphere, the equinox symbolizes a time to release and let go of the old in order to prepare for winter. If you can take a moment and think back to the events surrounding the day of the equinox, 20th March, you may recall that there was often conflict or things that seemed to be falling apart because this is a time to release the past, clear negative beliefs or feelings and get ready to welcome in the new.

Yes, I understand this blog currently feels like click bait but I promise it's all related.

This is a time to take care of yourself, so once you have taken care of your mind and soul, through meditation, releasing or whatever routine you like to carry out during this period, it's time to take care of your body. Exfoliation is similar to the March equinox in the sense that it is the removal of dry/old skin cells on the surface of the skin. Exfoliation not only helps with skin problems such as clogged pores but it increases blood circulation and helps you to achieve a healthy and glowing skin.

Unlike the Autumn equinox which happens once a year, we are advised to exfoliate once or twice a week. For this, I’d recommend the CSpa Invigorating Body Scrub, an uplifting combination of orange and ginger essential oils form the base of this gentle double exfoliating scrub for a skin smooth to the touch and the CSpa Uplifting Aroma Exfoliator for your face which is a citrus-fresh, gentle exfoliator which simultaneously nurtures, moisturises and restores the top layer of the skin leaving pores minimised whilst anti-oxidants refresh the skin’s vitality.

So take some time and let you mind, body and soul exhale during this season!
